A Balloon Over Bournemouth

Down in Bournemouth this weekend, I spotted this giant helium balloon in the Lower Gardens (well, it was hard to miss!). It's a static balloon, which means that it is tethered to the ground while it gradually rises to a height of just under 500 feet, at the end of a steel cable. Of course, I had to have a ride on it - superb views over the town and coast, so I've added an extra photo, looking towards the pier, to give some idea of this.
