Gangi

This is looking back to Gangi as we came close to finishing the first day's walk.  We got very lost early on in the walk and finished up walking mainly on the roads (fortunately someone was able to point us in the right direction).  Not a problem in the middle of Sicily as there was very little traffic - just the odd noisy dog.  We arrived at the bar promised by our route instructions and decided to wait for a bus to take us to the top of the hill and the main part of the town.  What bus?  We gave up and started walking up the hill only to see the bus arrive below us.  Having climbed to the town at the top of the hill we had to scramble down the tree covered slope in the picture. to reach our overnight stopping off point.
