More like April than May
A day full of sunshine and showers and a cold wind too. Of course
rain + sun= rainbows and we were treated to this magnificent one that covered the whole of Fortrose. I could only get part of if it in and I liked the way it ended in the Cathedral I wonder if it rests on the burial place of Andrew de Moray who is thought to be buried there. Yesterday , like every year, there was a march to celebrate the North Rising of Andrew de Moray at Ormond Hill, Avoch. A procession, with people dressed in battle clothing ie kilts, walk to Ormond Hill , the site of the families castle , where the old satire is removed and a new one put in it's place. The flag pole was badly damaged in the storms this January but I believe it has been restored and hopefully the flag will be flying high again. A wreath is usually placed in front of the Cairn which has a memorial plaque . Still have nt been around to see it , hopefully next year.
