Framed Waterfall

Walked today through the gardens at Rydal hall, although we walk frequently in this area this is really the first time we have visited this part of the grounds.

This little stone building was built in 1668, and obscures the natural view of the waterfall, the story is that important visitors were led on a path to this building and at the last moment the door is opened to reveal the magnificent waterfall framed in the window.
