A slice of Lesley's life

And breathe

We're in the countryside for our annual lung cleansing. We breathe out lots of smog and inhale fresh oxygen to sustain us through the rest of the year. One of these years we may not go back.

Slightly longer than expected drive but all the delays didn't seem to matter once we realised we got to drive past Stonehenge. I suspect more traffic jams could be enhanced with a World Heritage Site along the way.

Our home for the week is truly beautiful, complete with walled garden. And on site is this magnificent dog exercise field. There is a chance we will lose Albi in it before the week is out. We headed into Wells for a lovely pub lunch and then back to hang out in the house and garden and wait for a food delivery to find us. A challenging afternoon for J but hopefully a good sleep in the quiet of the countryside will help. Albi, as ever, has been a complete star and adapted to her new surroundings with no fuss. Actually I probably shouldn't write that as we haven't had the first night yet so perhaps a more qualified so far so good for her.

For the records dinner tonight was spaghetti bolognaise provided by MoDa*

Oh, and Carl seems to have seen fit to indoctrinate Anna in the ways of Eurovision. I'm very happy as I can carry on with my book and no-one minds.
