Archie meets a new friend
Going by the weather report, a wee adventure on a train was planned for today. I even postponed an appointment. But the day dawned less than promising, with dark clouds over to the north, the proposed adventure destination.
Plan B. We met up with Emmi, a dog lover who wants to borrow a dog to take for walkies now and again.
Emmi - meet Archie.
I've joined a website that puts dog owners together with people who can't have a dog but would love access to one. What a brilliant idea!
We went for a walk in the Meadows, had a cuppa at Summerhall, then Emmi came back home to bond with Archie a bit more. She's an unemployed archaeologist, but hopes to get a temporary job over the summer in one of the many tourist related jobs the city. She's lovely, and she loved Archie, having had schnauzers in her family before. I think this will be a beneficial arrangement to all concerned.
The day brightened up, and it's not cold. The car is in for its MOT, and they've rung with various expensive things needing done!! Mind you, it's had nothing extra the last two times, so we knew it couldn't last.
I washed the back windows that haven't been washed since we moved in a year and a half ago for a long time.
We have a VIP visiting tomorrow, so I'll make sure I point them out to her.
