Here's Looking at You!

I went down the track this morning to check up on the woodpecker nest, but before I got there I was spotted by 2 or maybe 3 squirrels! The first one was chattering away to me and waving his tail, so probably not too pleased to see me! This shot is of another one up high in a tree where another one was even higher up!

I went up a path that put me in a better position to see the nest, but I think I may have put the birds off, as although it came to the hole it didn't go into the tree. There was another one in the branches making warning sounds, so I really hope I haven't caused any problems for the chicks by being too near! I decided that I probably shouldn't go back again today as I really don't want the parents to abandon the nest!

I walked up to the post office this afternoon but just went on the road this time. I came back on a different road and delighted in the all the daisies growing off the wall.  I took a photo of them with my cheek pressed against them, but I haven't really captured their beauty. I've added them as an extra.
