View from the Downs

The dogs haven't had a proper walk for days. We're far from free of clouds but rain free, so I took the mutts onto the Downs above the house for a long run.  I must admit I needed it as much as they did. I took the wide angle lens with me to capture as much of the view as I could.  Here's the result. The sun was still high in the sky but I have to prepare for work so going out much later isn't possible during the week.  As I type, the sky is changing colour and with the last rays, the shadows would be longer.  

Thank you all for your comments on yesterday's blip.  I'm still struggling for time but have tried to get around a few journals. I think the problem is that I'm getting that bit older, night duties get longer,  and have to sleep more than I used to, which shortens my days more than I care.
