A new career...?!!
OK so this is where we were heading: the NASA Space Center at Houston, Texas! We were really lucky as we were able to book what they call their "Level 9 VIP Tour" - a 5-hour tour in a party of only 10-12 guests. Our guide was a chap called David Cisco who was heavily involved years ago in the designs for the Lunar Excursion Module which landed Man on the Moon. He was great! - full of fascinating anecdotes.
On this VIP tour you get to see lots of places where the usual visitors don't have access. This included the opportunity to spend some time right inside the historical Mission Control Room which was used for the moon landings. I don't blip many "selfies" but couldn't resist the temptation to do so today; my "Editor" kindly took the shot for me.
Tomorrow we'll be back at the Space Center to look round the usual exhibits, so I'll be able to blip another photo from the Center then.
