The view from my mother's window
Headed west to Gourock today to say hello to my mother.
This is the view from her window - it is spectacular all year round. Looking west across the Clyde towards the Argyllshire hills, the sunsets can be amazing.
Directly across the river is the Holy Loch. This deep water anchorage hosted a huge US Navy base for many decades. I grew up watching both RN and USN submarines coming and going. Nowadays it's just the British nuclear subs heading up to Faslane (just off the pic to your right).
Gourock is also a prime sailing venue for less lethal craft...
