Riverbank Tales

The Credit River flows past the site of the old Barber Mill in Georgetown. The ruins of the old paper mill were due to be incorporated into a new 14-storey condominium and hotel development a couple of years ago, but the plans were rejected. The development plan seemed a bit fanciful given that moves being made to have the area in which the mill sits designated as a UNESCO World Heritage site. That still hasn't happened, and the mill becomes more of an eyesore each year.
