Ghost In The Machine

I was 30 miles north of Yakima this morning taking photos for my architecture friend/client at Central Washington University. They had done the work on the flooring for the recently remodeled Student Union Rec Center and I was busy capturing images of carpet and tile. I got the idea of showing waxing machine in a shot or two and so set my exposure for a couple of seconds. I squeezed off a frame as the student pushed the machine through the area I was photographing, but all I captured were three feet. I guess they were the only thing stationary long enough to register. Always fun to capture unexpected things, but it will not make the final cut to the client.
