A Treasured Place

Today we received confirmation that our little holiday house in Tairua has been sold with settlement going ahead in a couple of weeks.
Tairua, is the Maori word for two tides, (because there is ocean and estuary) and it has been a very special place for our family and will always hold many, many special memories for us.
And while we are pleased that the house has new owners, we know that going there will never be quite the same for us.
We will go back as our daughter and grandsons continue to live there along with other friends.  Still it is a little bit sad.
