Sailing, sort of

We have been planning for quite awhile to go sailing on the river with our friends Vance and Juanita. They have a boat, and had been inviting us. Today we set out from St. Helens for an afternoon on the water. There was hardly any breeze at all, so sailing didn't succeed, but we had so much fun motoring along, talking, watching the Bald Eagles, Ospreys and Blue Herons. We brought supper makings along, and anchored to enjoy a meal. The weather was just beautiful, so warm. This picture is from the iPhone, there is an  Eagle on the log, but you can barely see it.
