Charlton Forest

I saw a lot of bluebells today in Charlton Forest while orienteering, which eluded me when I went back with my camera. Found this interesting building -  end wall made of pebbles ( we were near the pebbley South Coast) with a large round opening that has been bricked in and plastered in with arms sticking out. I am wondering what its orignal purpose can have been.
