My kind of cake

I make it a general rule not to go down to the shopping centre at weekends. It's always packed with people mooching around with apparently little better to do, and if I need to buy something I can always go down at some obscure time midweek when it's comparatively quiet and I can do 'man's shopping' - that is, research online before you go, go in, buy what you need and back out again in 15 minutes. But today W wanted me to come down to give the 'Yes or No' to something she was thinking of buying, so down I went. (It was 'No', by the way. Lovely colour but the shape was all wrong.).

We were in John Lewis so as I hadn't used my latest free coffee and cake voucher, I took it with me. Now, I'm not averse to cake but I don't really have a sweet tooth so if there's a cheese scone going, it's got my name on it. This one was pretty good, but not a patch on my home made ones. Last time I made them one Sunday morning and blipped them just as they came out of the oven, I started a trend; two Blippers immediately went off and made a batch themselves and used them for their own blip!
