Humbling

One of the last stops on our visit to Cambridge was to the American Cemetery. The only one in this country which honours the fallen US servicemen and women who fought over here and in Europe. The final resting place for many thousands as well as a wall of remembrance for those whose bodies were never recovered.

A beautiful humbling place made more so by the presence of volunteers including young children who come to clean the crosses and other masonry - everything was spotlessly white.
