Double vision

I have been looking after the 2 young cats next door over the weekend as the family are away camping (in all that rain!!). This morning Bella had had enough of her own company so abandoning her brother she moved in to our place. Diesel is very taken with her but keeps a respectful distance as she hisses when he is too close. I know he looks like a bruiser with his torn ears and scruffy coat but he is as gentle as a lamb. He crawled behind her when she was sunbathing and nonchalantly decided to have a wash! Sweet.
The weather man said to take full advantage of today's sunshine so went a walk this afternoon. Off to the bluebell woods except the bluebells are finished. The ground is now covered in Summer flowers of yellow,pinks and purples and white, lovely. The path though is very muddy and large puddles have to be negotiated where the path is supposed to be. The sun certainly helped to give the day a holiday feel but it could be back to the gloom tomorrow.
Quiet night in I think with a glass of wine to help things along.
