Thursday, May 14, 2015 -- Excited K9s
Every weekend this month has been designated for celebrating -- the end of the month is a BIG anniversary. We decided not to go north to the Central Coast this weekend, but south for a change.
The kennel was full. We think our pups must have phoned and told the kennel workers to say the place was full. So we phoned a motel that we know is nice and allows customers with dogs; they told us our favorite room would be available, so as soon as I was free from school duties, I headed for home. We tossed our things in the car and two crates for the three pups, their food, toys, and a couple of their soft blankies, and we were on the road. The three pups were elated to be going too! Of course they thought we were going to that "other" place--our house on the Central Coast has beds and toys and blankies for them and a whole shoreline full of sand.
Their excitement was great no matter where we were going. We drove through some pouring rain, a little frightening at moments, but we arrived at our destination just a moment or so passed 3:00.
We checked into the room and immediately went to get some grub. Later in the evening we went for an Italian dinner. Both the afternoon grub and the late evening dinner were delicious.
That's our Thursday report from a coastal city below San Clemente and above San Diego.
Good night from Southern California,
Rosie (& Mr. Fun, and Mitzi, Max, both in the photo, and Chloe, not pictured) aka Carol
