Scraping the Blip Barrel
The official temperature in this part of the world may be 9 degrees, but it feels a lot less in the wind chill. Scarves are on again and warm jumpers.
I remember the days when May heralded a two week heat wave during the study time for exams, but no longer. Today it is more like January.
The patient felt strong enough for a short stroll this morning to a local café for a coffee but no scone. His lack of appetite is definitely having a good effect on our carbohydrate intake.
With no desire to forage outside for a blip, I wanted to post a pencil portrait of His Lordship in a characteristic pose over the last few days with his eyes closed ( so much easier to draw), but he objected saying it looked like a death mask.
Instead, here is my new travelling paint box with the Callanish stones in Lewis, that I drew last year
