Goodbye to Berlin

We left Berlin quite early this morning. It's been a very good trip. Berlin is always evolving and although it's a very different place today than it was in Chistopher Isherwood's day (I first saw the film "Cabaret" which is based on this novel, in 1972 in Berlin) it remains a very special and vibrant place. The quote seemed a nice one to use as a Blipper too.
The bear is the symbol of Berlin, and I first saw these ones, of which there are a great many of different designs, when they were first displayed. There were lots of then in a few places, whereas now, individual ones are dotted about the city and you come upon them unexpectedly. This one was at the airport
