White!

To say today has been sunshine and showers would be an understatement. I went on a scroll along the valley with some of the people from our Natural History Society, which was very pleasant, the focus being plants and birds. we saw quite a few Dippers and Grey Wagtails and got a good sighting of a Blackcap. it was hood on, hood off,c amera cover on, camera cover off, hood on…. well, you get the picture. I managed a few moments in a nice woodland clearing with bluebells, just missing a very fine wren, but there were quite a few butterflies around when the rain stopped, of which this Green-veined White was the most obliging.
