Iron Sky

There was a humungous queue for Iron Sky at The Cameo this evening. The show we had tickets for was the second showing at 22:50, this showing being added in response to the earlier showing selling out very quickly. Unfortunately this all proved too much for Jen who was struggling to stay awake and snored through most of the first 50 minutes, though managing to keep it together for most of the finale. I'd love to go and see it again but I guess it will have to wait till it gets a retail release. There was a touch of 'Airplane' about the whole production, in the way that it managed to be funny and satirical without ever breaking it's own pace in the way that some out and out comedies do.

Earlier I had gone to IKEA for parts for a new computer desk shelf I have in mind and Jen had played facebook games with nothing but a bottle of wine for company (resulting in the snoring) but we did manage the sushi place opposite The Cameo for dinner and were not disappointed. Despite not having Flying Fish Roe on the menu there was a generous helping of Crab Eggs with everything which resembled Flying Fish Roe so much it may even have been the same thing.
