Tulips for ever

Following Saturday's theatre trip, I researched The Kinks and it transpired that Dave Davies had a Stroke, very similar to Mark's, in 2004. In 2006 he could walk, talk and play the guitar again.

Mark is a musician. He left a now famous band just before they became huge in the eighties. (He was later replaced by a band member's brother so you can probably work out which band it was!!)

Anyway, Mark and I went out for a jaunt in the car today (roof down). It is still early days for him but he was interested in Dave Davies' story.

Although his speech has yet to return, he can recall and hum a tune easily.

We drove to Bowood for tea and cake and then to Avebury hoping for an ice cream. There was no van in the carpark and I wasn't gong to make Mark walk any further as he was beginning to tire. But we found delicious Black currant and clotted cream icecream at Hillworth park. Success!!!

Today would have been Dad's 89th :(
