feeding frenzy
The garden was a frenzy of birds feeding today. The blackbird working hard to find the worms whilst our lovely blue tits were everywhere looking for insects to feed those hungry mouths. The worrying news though was a magpie was seen going in the hedge where the blackbird is nesting !!
Early inspection of the #BTCB showed that there were no more egg shells and eventually we identified 7 mouths. It was not an easy job to identify a full house of 7 because the tiny chicks crawl and mingle together. Interestingly the 7 eggs were laid during the night and all hatched at night as well. Lets hope enough food comes in and they all survive. I have added a dodgy tv shot of inside the box again and I hope you can make out a couple of open mouths. I'm not sure how to get decent images from the cam recorder so ideas are welcome.
I also planned to be busy in the garden today but that plan didn't work out as I drove Dan miles looking at cars to buy. He has now landed himself a job at Santander and now needs a car to get him to Leicester when he starts in 2 weeks. We narrowed down the selection but no success yet.
