One species each day (from my backyard)

And here is a flower of one of our at least three kowhai trees. It took me a while to identify because the flowers are a bit small for the species, probably because it's growing in a cool shady area of the back yard, but the relevant length of the standard, wings and the keel in combination with the longer leaves means it must be Sophora tetraptera.
