We'd had a good long sleep so managed to get up to the Farmers market reasonably early,  but several of the stalls appeared to be low on supplies - maybe ravenous hordes are getting there earlier these days.

I did some tidying in the afternoon, including a rummage through my old knitting stuff and bags of spare wool. I was amazed to find this device, which I had completely forgotten about. It's something like a circular slide rule for knitters to work out the number of stiches for a given tension. Thing is,  although the French manufacturers had gone to the trouble of calibrating it in inches for the UK market, they didn't manage to translate the instructions!
