A Peace To End All Peace

I had very little decent sleep, waking fitfully to hear snippets of election news on the radio every hour or so and at some point retrieving DaveH from the sofa where he had fallen asleep (actually thinking that he was in bed). Work had to be done, but it all happened rather slowly.

We had a hot bath and went to bed very early in compensation. I read a little bit more of my book but it's a very dense read - I can't manage more than a short section at a time. Every page is full of further revelations of misinformation, ignorance, arrogance, hubris and worse - very few individuals come out of it well. Make that none, actually. All detailed historical information delivered in a very readable style; it's the content that makes it rather indigestible.
