...and one more for the road
A little trip out to friends for a night with a few drinks and a takeaway was just what I needed. Everyone was on top form and I even got a squoodge of baby Gracie who's just 6 weeks old. A beautiful little thing with a mop of dark hair and gurgles to melt your heart! It's true what they say, you soon forget how teeny they are when they're first born, how delicate all their features are and all the glorious little noises they make. I took her for a look around and introduced her to the garden (through the french doors obviously). I think she was quite impressed at first but then decided it was time to return to Mummy so I had to relinquish my hold.
The rest of the company was full of stories and fun. My old neighbour never ceases to have me in bits. This weeks "big" news was that she'd bought her first "vinyl" record... she's a lot younger than me so didn't get to do that the first time round and is sooooo excited. I'd understand better if she had a turntable to play it on but aparrently that will come later :)
Thanks to the neighbours again for hospitality. I must return the favour soon.
