The Great British Street Party

It's cold and windy in St Ives today, but we'd organised a 'street party' so a 'street party' we had!

I got dressed up in my bandana and one of the neighbours also gave me a hat to wear. I had to do lots of posing so I could have my photo taken but I didn't mind 'cos I got some little BBQ treats.

The humans started out in summery red, white & blue clothes, but ended up sitting huddled under blankets!

Gilli gave us a rendition of 'God Save the Queen' and Colin apparently met the Queen in 1962?!

After 3 hours we all felt like we were at the 'North Pole' so abandoned the 'street' (well, it was the 'back lane' actually) and have come indoors where it's warm and cosy.

However, the Jubilee has definitely brought all the neighbours together - We're all meeting up for 'pre-beacon drinkies' tomorrow evening and then are going to St Nicholas Chapel on the Island in St Ives at 10pm to see the beacon being lit.

....................Let's hope tomorrow is warmer than today?!
