Greater Spotted Eagle

Taken at maximum magnification and considerable photoshop cropping this magnificent bird is the king of the Wetlands centre, he's particularly partial to birds and animals that live near wet areas, which is probably why this species has a small population which is declining owing to extensive habitat loss and persistent persecution. These Eagles are therefore listed as Vulnerable! He's also keen to go off on his migration now as it is too hot, but this is probably the best shot I will ever get of him as he spends most of his time high up on tree or mountain. What a sight though and one of the Eagles here I would love to get a closer shot of-now I'm going to have to wait until he returns to Oman(hopefully) after the summer.
