Swift Tern

Not in my wadi for once but on the beach, there are huge amounts of these birds on the sand bars of most of the beaches, looking very like their cousins the Lesser Crested Terns, but having a yellow beak, instead of an orange one. Soon they will all have completely black capped heads which is their summer, breeding plumage. I always like to pick out one great example of the species and this bird stands out as an attractive example & is in tip top condition.
