As we arrived home from swimming, Katie spotted our neighbour drive past from work. She asked if we could go take her a bun. It had finally stopped raining, so we went round and had a nice chat too!

She was sad after swimming as she didn't pass her grade this time, but I hadn't expected it and had tried to warn her. She's got two small tasks to pass and actually can do them both, just didn't on the test day. I heard her teacher say to her today that she needed to be faster. At the time, Katie was swimming alongside an 8yr old. Katie doesn't even reach her armpits. She's bound to be slower!

We've been talking a lot about the election. Part of her school is being used as a polling station. She has misunderstood and thought they were going to get a vote. She was disappointed in the reality! Though pleased as it means lunch is to be had in a part they don't often use for lunch and will be a giant salad bar buffet- they always do an excellent job of those!
