June, Scotland

This is how it is at 10.15pm on 2 June. Just seeing the daylight reminded me that it's June, and June is special hereabouts.

By the end of the month, it will be full daylight at 10pm and still light at 11. Daylight again by 3.30am. So the dawn chorus kicks off just a touch too early...

Maybe I'll manage a trip this month to the family heartland in Moray - even more daylight when you're 150 miles further north.

A fairly dull weekend. That's because I'm off to Bavaria on Wednesday for one of the year's big events. Lots of chores to do in & around the house.

The trip is to Ingolstadt (although I'll be in nearby Gaimersheim) and we'll also visit Regensburg & Eichstätt. Both very photogenic (as is Ingolstadt).
