Holiday Monday

After yesterday's excitement, I didn't get up til 10. P and I had breakfast in the sunny corner of the garden amid a glorious medley of birdsong. I found that the blackbird chicks gave left the nest. They arrive and so very quickly leave the nest.

I dropped P back to hers and trawled through the legal papers for P's new investment property. All's well. After staying for lunch with them, I went to C's and looked after Tilly while C did some cleaning. S was outdoors felling an old apple tree,chopping and burning.

When Teddy got up from his afternoon sleep, we played outside with his new bubble blowing machine. He was delighted. Here he is with his Dad play fighting, the cheeky monkey.

I tried giving Tilly a bottle but she'd have none of it. She screamed and choked and cried. Little Madam. But I just couldn't do it.

I picked up a curry on the way home and am having a very early night. It's been a super weekend.
