Bailing on Cuernavaca

After a busy day yesterday we came to the conclusion we had seen all we could in Cuernavaca without a vehicle, so we booked a bus ticket to the Mexico City airport a day early. First, however, I needed to get some cash so an early morning walk to the centro was in order. Nice to be up before the crowds (which are large on this holiday weekend) and see the streets before they are covered in people. Didn't make a lot of difference, I still think the town looks a bit tired. It gets some great press, but for my money Pátzcuaro, Guanajuato, or Morelia are better places to spend time - more to see and do plus they are prettier than the historic centro of this city. Glad we came, but probably won't be back any time soon (except perhaps to see the Robert Brady Museum which is certainly worth the trip).
