For many people the May Bank Holiday weekend is a time for DIY and home improvements - for the puffins at Sumburgh Head today this seems to be particularly true.

Was also pleased to see the rare Shetland Spherical Puffin on the cliff-tops - see the extra picture for today.

In other news, the clear blue skies, light winds and calm seas of the last few days seem to have disappeared - just in time for the boat south this evening.
