La Desirade

Today we luncheoned at La Rotonde, the terrace cafe at the Hotel Negresco on the prom. Then we snuck into the hotel to admire the art on display. I've always been very drawn to this little statue (because it's of a beautiful naked lady? who knows...).

What makes me smile is the monkey staring at her. Surely the person who placed that painting next to that statue knew what they were doing...?
