Soggy Saturday

Well what a wash out of a day :-(
The forecasters said sunshine and showers, how useless are they! Not had one second of sun all day.......grey grey and greyer!

Hub does seem to be improving, but now has a sore throat :-/ I guess that's because he's run down! We went out for the paper this morning, its the only fresh air we've had, besides a quick run outside with my camera to grab this blip, that is!

On the plus side, I spent a good while in the kitchen, which resulted in a very spicy slow cooked beef curry, rice, mango chutney and popadums for this evening......and if I do say so myself, it was rather good :-D

This little lilac anemone, is one of many in the garden that are looking very sorry for themselves after all the rain......but it does look rather pretty, almost like crumpled tissue paper.

Tomorrow's forecast is no better.....but they might be wrong, again?!!! It's such a pity as its a bank holiday, and all those folk who work will have been so hoping for decent weather......Monday is supposed to be dry, but we'll see............hope you're all enjoying your extended weekend nonetheless
