The Scots Mining Company House
There was open day in the garden and tea in the dining room as part of the Scotland's Gardens scheme. It was perhaps a bit twee, but it was good to see the house (which isn't really possible from the road) built in the 18th century for the owner of the mine in Leadhills. The garden is probably the only bit of flat land in the village and the daffs are some of the latest in the country.
Earlier we did a quick trip to Biggar to see our favourite butcher who supplied a rather good looking rib roast for tomorrow's dinner.
