May Eve

A full on day yesterday (Thursday) and too tired to blip by the time  we got home.
Himself strove for most of the day to get pdf documents and images loaded for Amazon  re book- extremely technical and stressful but he's suceeded! I was out and about delivering cards hither and thither and a lot of craic and coffee was had on the way.
Then in the evening we ventured out to Loch Hyne for Himself had seen notification on Facebook(!) that there was to be an open air Mass at one of the holy wells there. I had to go. We strolled around the lough, which is an amazing deep, fresh water thing with its own unique ecosystems. The flowers were looking beautiful then I ventured off to the well. It was packed with all sorts of people from little children playing in the grass to elderly types perched on the walls clasping their rosaries. The service was mostly in English but also smattering sof Latin and Irish. It was rather moving, mainly about being joyful and thankful for the nature around us - a little bit too much nature actually, the midges were vicious - massive clouds of them above out heads, biting.Rather heart warming to think that this gathering has probably been going on for literally hundreds of years in one way or another.
More about the  Skour Well Skour well should you be curious.

Do have a look at son#2's amazing images from Paris - they deserve a wider appreciation (biased,  moi?)

And thank you Ann for this link re the tightrope walking wedding which is taking place today - I do hope the weather is better across the water for it's shite here. I have washed my face in the dew though.

The blip is of a rather impressive sky and Lord Bandon's tower as I headed out west.
