Chamber Pot

I invested 75 pence of my hard earned wages in a carafe/jug.

It is quite nice, the glass is full of imperfections and wrinkles and the bottom is a funny shape so it does not quite sit square - yes, indeed; It could have been made for me!

So tonight I thought I would pour in half a bottle of my homemade red wine.

"Did you wash that?" Tracey demanded.

Of course I had, well I managed a quick rinse at least.

"But did you sterilise it? You never know the previous owners may have kept it under the bed in case they were caught short in the night!"

Suddenly my home brewed Merlot does not taste quite the same.
