Butterflies

A glorious day so I made sure I got outside for a walk at lunchtime. I promised myself a few months back I would get down to a local butterfly reserve and it was here I found myself today. It was a magical bit of countryside full of grass meadows, oak trees and streams. In the glades I watched orange tip butterflies and warblers flit in the sunshine. A jay also flew between the trees - it's pink front and blue head streak clear to see. I wish I could have stayed longer in this haven of tranquility. Hopefully I will be able to revisit soon.
