Duck for cover!

The castle provided a brief escape from my office this afternoon and the unrelenting deadlines as I met a good friend, one of the Castle guides, for a quick 'walking catch up'. A dozen ducklings raced towards us down by the Great Water making for an amusing photo moment.

The chaotic team of ducks waddled along happily with mother duck in tow and without a care in the world. The sunshine brought out the beauty of the grounds and it was lovely to see nature's creatures enjoying the beautiful spring day.

I never fail to be touched by the serenity of the black swans and comedic character of the ducks and geese: a perfect tonic to the pressure of ever increasing client deadlines and juggling multiple projects as some near their end while others are about to begin.

A few of my closest friends are having stressful weeks too and I hope the weekend will bring a chance to kick back and relax for us all.
