Time for a walk

We arrived in London in the early afternoon, checked into our hotel and then, seeing as the weather was so good, went straight back out again. Using a guide book we bought a couple of years ago, we explored the East Rotherhithe area from Canada Water to the Cutty Sark in Greenwich. This is the tower of St Paul's in Deptford, described as "one of the finest Baroque churches in London".

After our walk, we hopped onto a bus and went to the O2 arena (formerly the Millenium Dome) where we had a wander round before deciding on where to eat. A good start to our long weekend!
