Today's the day ......................... to start well

This was how the day started here - bright sunshine and not a cloud in the sky.  It was pretty cold though and even as the day progressed, the temperature barely got above 10 degrees.  And by the end of the day, the skies were grey and it was fairly chucking it down with rain.  It was even forecasted that in some places the rain would fall as sleet.

This kiwi plant has started off the season well with lovely green shoots bursting into leaf almost before your eyes.  In all the years that we've had it however, despite having lots of flowers, it has never had any fruit. 

Let's hope that this year will be the start of something good .........................
