International Rescue

Struggling madly on Fort Island Gulf Beach with some hateful kids chasing this royal tern for fun it soon became obvious what the problem was. The poor thing had a fishing line and hook trapped in it's throat and the line had also got wound round it's wing. 

Hubs pulled a blinder, grabbed it whilst others came to unwrap it and then got a nasty bite which drew blood! A woman bit the line to cut it off but the hook was way too far down it's gullet to reach. It did fly off so has a sporting chance! Good deed for the day :)

On coming back from our camera sortie a little later we overheard, 'That's the guy.....!' as people regaled the story. Obviously quite the hero :))
