Camera Years

We had an errand in Inverness. Caley stayed at home and immediately before we left he got a decent run with the ball in the field.
I like to take my very first DSLR  out for a walk now and again. It has the still very popular DX sized sensor and a respectable 12mp. Oddly I think I understand better now its workings having used its newer cousins. Also, having access to better photo software than when  when I first got it, I think it is now possible to squeeze a bit more out of each pixel and reduce noise.too. Noise at even moderate ISOs was my biggest issue with it given my typical subject was dogs running on dull wet days.
I can't believe that this (D300) is a 2008 model. That's a long time in digital camera terms, a bit like doggy years..
Obvioiusly I could have posted another image of Caley posing but this two Greylag Geese took off at the edge of the field.
