our first proper look at singapore - we went to the botanic gardens which are more or less round the corner from the apartments. we only saw a tiny bit of them as they're so big, but they're were beautiful and loads of folk were there. with a population of 5 million on one small 15 mile island, there are bound to be folk everywhere. it's all been a bit of a daze today...and the heat takes a lot of getting used to. beautiful flowers, massive fish and turtles...and the kids are loving the lizards. home to the pool to cool down.

oh, and then we went to raffles for a singapore sling!
