Male House Sparrow.
The usual Saturday turn round at the Lodge but without the usual pressure. We have until Thursday to do some more maintenance and gardening.
While we were pottering about, Clickychick thought she saw a pair of Sparrows taking nesting material under the eaves. I took a few minutes off to see if I could sit quietly in the car and spot where they were going.
Typically while I was there no female appeared and the only males in view appeared to be in the middle of a dispute. Probably not territorial as House Sparrows are happy to nest semi colonially. This is a rather ropey shot of one of the males in the top of the neighbours Copper Beach.
